My gift for you is...

Rukia was in the Kurosaki's bathroom thinking what she should give Ichigo for his birthday. She had been all week looking for ideas, but she didn't find what she was looking for.

"I want Ichigo to be surprised this year… like he surprised me" she looked at her left hand and saw the beautiful engagement ring Ichigo had given her on her birthday. Rukia smiled seeing it; she never thought that Ichigo would ask her hand in marriage on her birthday.


January 14…

Rukia was with Ichigo on the park, he had decided to go to every place in Karakura that held a great significance to them. They began in his room, where they met for the first time. From there they went to the street, where Rukia gave her powers to him; next to the school, where they shared great moments with their friends; then to the cemetery, where Ichigo fought against Grand Fisher and Rukia helped him. They also passed Urahara's shop, where Ichigo swore he would save Rukia, and finally they arrived at the park.

"Ichigo, why did you bring me here?" Ichigo simply smiled and kissed her sweetly. She looked at his eyes and saw love in them. Ichigo kneeled and took a small box from his jacket. He looked at the small box and answered her.

"Rukia we have walked through all the paces in this town that hold a great importance to us" he looked at her and saw his girlfriend's eyes filled with tears. "I want that this park can also remind us of the love we have for each other" Ichigo opened the box and inside there was a beautiful white gold ring with sapphires and diamonds.

"Ichigo…" she was surprised, she didn't know what to say…

"Rukia Kuchiki, would you marry me?" he asked as he softly inserted the ring on her finger. One tear rolled on the check of the shinigami, never had she felt so happy.

"Of course!" she leaned against him and kissed him passionately, with all the love she had inside. "Of course I accept… I love you, Ichigo!" he kissed her again, he loved her as well y he wasn't letting her go.


It wasn't only for the ring, it was because Ichigo had given her a whole life of love and happiness with him y that was more beautiful than any Chappy plushy. "You granted my most special wish" she said to herself, when suddenly she felt a little dizzy. Since some days ago, she had been feeling strange, but she hadn't told anyone. Maybe she should ask Isshin, since he is the doctor of the house.

Rukia went to the kitchen where she found Yuzu making breakfast and Karin arranging the table. Isshin was on the living room watching the news and eyeing the newspaper rather easily.

"Isshin-san, can I speak with you?" she said as she timidly moved closer. Isshin looked at her and smiled sheepishly at her.

"Rukia-chan you know very well you can call me dad, it doesn't bother me at all" Rukia blushed and shook her head. "Well, of what do you wanna talk?" he said as he kept eyeing the newspaper.

"Can we go to the clinic? I haven't felt good these days…" she said seriously. Isshin looked at her and went to the clinic with her. Once they where there he sat on his desk and waited for her to talk, she looked rather nervous.

"Isshin-san, I think I'm pregnant…" said Rukia looking kinda nervous. She thought it was wrong to be pregnant before marriage, which was what Byakuya taught her. Isshin remained serious, for the first time, but in his head lots of things went by.

Is Rukia-chan pregnant?
I can't believe it, my son finally did it!
If it's a girl, her name will be Masaki!

He went to the medicine shelf and took a pregnancy test from there to give it to Rukia.

"Well, Rukia-chan, I'll give you this pregnancy test, it has the instructions in the back so you can use it whenever you want" said Isshin as he gave her the test box.

"Thank you, Isshin-san!" said Rukia happily. For her it was weird that Isshin had not scream or gotten crazy out of joy, but she was thankful for that. Rukia exited the clinic to be surprised by Ichigo.

"Rukia, I was looking for you" said Ichigo smiling and pulling her into a hug. Rukia managed to hide the test box on a pocket in her dress so Ichigo wouldn't notice and then she hugged him. "Are you going to eat breakfast?" he asked.

"Yes, I'll just go to the bathroom, but I'll be down in no time" she smiled and quickly went up the stairs. Ichigo then saw how his father emerged from the clinic bearing a triumphant smile.

"And what the hell is wrong with you?" asked Ichigo noticing the strange face his father had, but know that he thought it he always looked weird.

"Son, do you know how proud I am of you?" asked Isshin looking at his son. Ichigo didn't know if he should answer his father or attack him, maybe this was a way to distract him from his constant attacks.
"Thanks, I guess…" Isshin went to the table to eat his breakfast, followed by Ichigo who was still looking at him.


In the bathroom…

Once Rukia took the test, she waited for the result to appear. She couldn't help to feel a bit nervous because she wasn't married to Ichigo and Byakuya might get mad, still she could hide the evident happiness that the idea of being pregnant gave her. The idea of having Ichigo's and her baby, growing inside of her…

"It's wonderful…" she said as she noticed that the result was beginning to appear on the test. Rukia took the box and read what the symbols that appeared meant. On the test there where two lines next to each other…

"I'm pregnant!" she said as small tears of joy fell through her face. She couldn't believe it, she was pregnant of Ichigo and she was happier than ever. What better news to give Ichigo that she was pregnant of him…?

"That's it!" she cleaned the test and stored it. She got out of the bathroom and went to Ichigo's room where she hid the test on the closet. She went down the stairs and joined the family for breakfast, she was very hungry and the food smelled delicious. When she arrived at the dining room Ichigo looked at her to see if something was wrong. She simply smiled, and Isshin understood right away.

After breakfast, Rukia went to buy a gift box for Ichigo; she told him she was at Orihime's so he wouldn't suspect a thing. She had the gift and she needed a place to store it. As she walked through town, she saw a little store that perhaps had what she needed. She entered the store where apparently they sold things for different occasions, like birthdays. She took a small rectangular box and paid for it. As she walked back home she touched her belly tenderly, to think a little life was growing inside her…

"Never would have thought my life would change so much..." she arrived home to find that Ichigo was gone, which was indeed perfect, that way she had time to arrange the present. She went up the stairs to their room and took the test from the closet. Carefully she took the test and put it in the gift box; she closed it and tied it with a ribbon. She took a marker and drew 3 Chappys: Ichigo, her and the baby. She smiled at the result and stored the gift. She went to the kitchen where she found Yuzu making the cake.

"Do you help Yuzu-chan?" she asked as she moved closer to the girl. Yuzu smiled and nodded.

"Thanks, Rukia-chan" said the girl as she pointed at the batter for the cake. Rukia began to stir it to make smooth and fluffy.

"Hey, where's Ichigo?" asked Rukia, since it was weird her fiancé wasn't home for his birthday party yet.

"He went out with his friends for a while before the party, apparently Kiego had a surprise for him or something…" said the girl as Rukia gave her the stirred batter. Yuzu took it and pour it to the molding pot. "But don't worry, I told him to be home early for the party" assured Yuzu as she left the pot in the oven. Rukia smiled and felt Ichigo's reiatsu close to the house. She felt a bit nervous, since he didn't know yet.

"That Kiego is an idiot…" he saw Rukia y quickly smiled. She moved closer and hugged him tightly and just at that moment Isshin took them picture. "What the hell, old man?" said Ichigo as his father looked at them sweetly.

"Can't I take pictures of my son and his fiancé?" asked the man smiling. Ichigo decided to ignore him, since he was wasting his time with him.

"Whatever…" he looked at Rukia, "how did everything go with Orihime?"

"Fine, I wasn't much time, since I wanted to help Yuzu prepare the food" she said. Yuzu appeared and told them they had to start getting ready for the party, because everything was almost ready. Ichigo went to their room with Rukia to look for the clothes they were going to use. Rukia picket a nice sundress and Ichigo a button up shirt and some pants. He went to the bathroom to get a nice shower.

Rukia went to the twin's room to look for a brush for her hair. Yuzu was there and asked her to tie her dress. Rukia tied her dress and brushed her hair as well.

"Thank you Rukia-chan…" the girl smiled and took Rukia's hand, "I'm glad my brother is going to marry you" Rukia smiled and nodded.

"Me too, Yuzu…" the girls came out of the room, Yuzu went to finish the arrangements and Rukia went to her room to look for Ichigo's present. Ichigo was still getting ready in the bathroom, so Rukia had no trouble in taking the gift and going down the stairs to the living room. Isshin was decorating the house, with strawberry balloons, tablecloths and other decorations that involved Ichigo's name. Karin was letting the guests in which were some of Ichigo's friends and some other people.

"Kuchiki-san, you look so pretty!" said Orihime as she saw her in her pretty yellow dress. Orihime had arrived with Uryu, Chad and the other guys from school. Rukia smiled as she saw her friend so happy and she also looked pretty. Ichigo came from upstairs and he couldn't help to smile as he saw his friends, family and the woman he loved all here for his birthday.

"Well, since everyone is here, why don't we sing the birthday song to Ichigo and then we continue the party?" asked Isshin as he lighted the candles of the amazing chocolate cake Yuzu had made.

"Alright, dad…" Ichigo scratched the back of his head when he began hearing everyone sing. Rukia looked at him as she sang y he just smiled with a cute blush on his face.

Once they song ended Ichigo bended over and blew the candles off. Everyone cheered and applauded, not only for his birthday but for everything that had happened in that last six months. Orihime moved close and gave her present to Ichigo, so did Uryu and Chad. Soon everyone wanted him to open them. Ichigo opened Orihime's present first, inside there was a frog plushy… 'What the hell…' thought Ichigo when he saw it.

"Thanks, Inoue..." he said as he opened Uryu's next. Inside was a shirt, designed by Uryu himself with the damn Quincy symbol on it… He ignored that and thanked Uryu. Next he opened Chad's gift. Ichigo eyes lighted up when he saw a set of tools for his guitar, which he needed. "Thanks, man!" he left the tools in the bag and looked at Rukia. He noticed she was a bit nervous and he tried to joke around.

"What's wrong, Rukia? You know that if you didn't get me anything is fine…" he said as she became red. He smiled got bigger when he noticed she was blushing, he stood up and moved close to her.

"Of course I got you something, idiot…" she answered, "What I don't know is how you will react when you see it…" she said as he took the present. Ichigo looked at it, noticing the 3 Chappys and the he opened it slowly. Inside the little box was a pregnancy test… it was positive too. Ichigo was surprised and looked at her with big eyes.

"Rukia, are you…?" he saw how she nodded. Ichigo left the box at the table and hugged Rukia tightly. She returned the hug as small tears escaped from her eyes. "Don't cry, Rukia, I love you…" and he kissed her tenderly as Isshin tried like a baby and took pictures with one hand and a video with the other one.

"Me too, Ichigo" she said as Ichigo kneeled in front of her and rested his left hand on her belly. "Happy Birthday, Ichigo…" she caressed his hair and held him close to her, as he looked at her with all the love and admiration he could express.
